It is very timely because it looks at how businesses can prepare for a No Deal Brexit, and to what extent they have actually done so, as well as what the path to avoiding or getting a No Deal Brexit would be.

But it also covers more long-term concerns, as well as some that do not get so much publicity, such as the effect Brexit may have on non-EU trade.

CMS commissioned Opinium Research to conduct an online survey of senior decision makers in 1,009 UK companies and 1,010 companies in six other EU countries, creating a snapshot of their views on Brexit and their preparations for it.

The survey was conducted in March 2018. This was followed by a second online survey of 1,006 UK companies in August 2018, again conducted by Opinium, to determine to what extent business preparation and opinion had changed in the intervening months. This report presents a summary of key findings from these surveys.
