EIA: Monthly Energy Review - February 2021 - eng (pdf) Избранное

On February 23, 2021, EIA released its primary report on recent and historical energy statistics, the Monthly Energy Review (MER). Preliminary estimates for November 2020 indicate:

  • The transportation sector accounted for 68% of total U.S. petroleum consumption. Motor gasoline represented 61% of petroleum consumption in the transportation sector, distillate fuel oil 27%, and jet fuel 10%.
  • The industrial sector accounted for 26% of total U.S. petroleum consumption. Hydrocarbon gas liquids (HGL) accounted for 43% of petroleum consumption in the industrial sector.
  • The residential sector accounted for 3% of total U.S. petroleum consumption, almost all of it in the form of HGL and distillate fuel oil. The commercial sector accounted for 2% of total consumption, 60% of which was in the form of distillate fuel oil and HGL.
  • The electric power sector accounted for less than 1% of total U.S. petroleum consumption.
