EIA: Monthly Energy Review - March 2019 - eng (pdf) Избранное

The March 2019 Monthly Energy Review (MER), EIA's primary report of recent and historical energy statistics, was released on March 26, 2019. Preliminary estimates for 2018 indicate that

  • U.S. primary energy consumption totaled 101 quadrillion British thermal units (Btu). This total was the highest since at least 1949, the earliest year for which EIA has data. Compared with 2017, natural gas consumption increased 10%, renewable energy consumption increased 3%, petroleum consumption increased 2%, nuclear electric power consumption was virtually unchanged, and coal consumption decreased 4%.
  • U.S. primary energy production totaled 96 quadrillion Btu, which was also the highest total since at least 1949. Compared with 2017, crude oil production increased 17%, natural gas production increased 11%, renewable energy production increased 4%, nuclear electric power production was virtually unchanged, and coal production decreased 3%. 
  • U.S. primary energy exports equaled 21 quadrillion Btu, the highest total since at least 1949. U.S. primary energy imports totaled 25 quadrillion Btu, a 2% decrease from 2017.
