IEA: Monthly Oil Prices Statistics - July 2019 (data for June 2019) - eng (pdf, xls)

1. In April 2019, crude oil import costs increased by 7% in IEA countries, following the crude oil spot price trend of the same month (+8%).
   After five months of growth, crude oil spot prices decreased in May (-2%) and June (-10%). At 60 US dollars per barrel, crude oil spot prices in June are 16% lower than they were in the same month last year.
2. In June 2019, gasoline prices fell in all IEA countries, recording an average decrease of 4%. Prices fell the most in North America (-8% in Canada and -5% in the United States) where prices more closely reflect changes in crude oil prices due to relatively lower taxes applied on consumption of these fuels.
   In June 2019, average automotive diesel prices slightly decreased by 1%, with Japan as the only country that recorded an increase (+0.3%).
3. Prices for domestic heating oil and fuel oil for industry in June followed the trend of gasoline prices, registering a decrease of 4% and 3%, respectively. Again, Japan recorded the only increase in domestic heating oil price (+1%), while the United Kingdom saw the largest decrease (-6%).
